Christy Male was killed when a Norfolk Southern Freight train slammed into her car
at an unprotected railroad crossing in Walton, Kentucky. Christy was not the first
person to be killed at this particular crossing, but her parents are fighting to
make sure she is the last.
CROSSINGS is an intimate portrait of Greg and Cindy Male's search for answers surrounding
the death of their daughter. Shot over the course of five years, filmmakers Emily
Jansen and Cynthia Childs tell the story of their childhood friend whose life was
cut short and of her parent's determination to save others from this senseless tragedy.
